Aahh – I LOVE having a week day off! Working on the occasional Saturday is a bummer sometimes, but it’s not that bad. I don’t know, there’s something about having a break in the week that is thrilling and relaxing at the same time.
The title of this post comes from a hash tag I thought of while commenting on a friend’s Instagram post. Yesterday morning, I set out for a power-walk, when after walking a few blocks, I started jogging! And it felt good!! I think I ran 1.5 miles, which is a great start, since I don’t think I’ve run since June, or maybe a flukishly mild day in July? The point is, I’ve figured out that I am a seasonal jogger/runner and I am OK with that.
For me, jogging is such a mind game. I think I actually get runner’s anxiety! The weather conditions have to be right, and I have to have at least eight hours of sleep. So running during Virginia’s hot and humid Summers does not work for me. Plus, in the Summer, I am running my A/C unit almost all the time, which shares energy with my C-PAP. What is a C-PAP you ask?? It’s a device that shoots out positive air flow via distilled water, into my airways. I was diagnosed with chronic sleep apnea at age 14, so ever since then, the C-PAP has been at my bedside.
So, maybe I’ll luck out again this morning and have a successful jog, or maybe it will be horrible since I woke up at 5:42 this morning ON MY OWN ON MY DAY OFF!!!
